Do you ever feel like you are always waiting for something?
I recently was having a conversation with my husband where he was telling me he feels like he has been waiting for something his whole life. I felt in my Spirit that that word meant something more than just waiting.
So I immediately went to the Hebrew to see what waiting was meant in the bible. The word is qavah and the first time it was used in the bible was Genesis 1:9-10, And God said, “Let the waters under the heavens be gathered [wait: qia’wu] together into one place, and let the dry land appear.”
So as I studied more I was rewarded with this pearl. “So the waters waited together in one place and God called the collection of water “seas”.
What were the waters waiting for?
In verse 20 God said, “Let the waters teem with swarms of living creatures,” The waters waited and they were rewarded with a purpose.
This conclusion popped into my spirit I reflected that all the restlessness I went through in my life was because I lacked purpose.
The always in a hurry to what wait?
The appearance of being busy for what to just wait? Always waiting on someone or something. It wasn’t until I found what purpose God had for me, after I pressed into that purpose I found that I was no longer anxious. I wasn’t needing to be anywhere except where God told me to be.
I finally became content in all things and was able to BREATHE!
Why?
Because just like my husband I felt like I was always waiting for something as well. Waiting to find the purpose God had for me all along, I just had to get me out of the way and pursue God in a way I had never before done.
