Rooted and Set Apart

I think today it is so important that we set ourselves apart from the world. That there should be a clear line of who we are and what we stand for in all areas of our life.

In Psalms 1 it says” Happy is the man who does not go in the company of sinners, or take his place in the way of evil-doers, or in the seat of those who do not give honour to the Lord”

We are called to be the salt of the earth, to be the light of the world. We are not called to be seated with those who do not give honour to God.

That does not in way mean that we are not to show love to them, pray for them or help them. It means we are not to be seated with them.

Jesus showed us that he preached to the lost, he healed the sick and broken, he cast out the demons that oppressed the lost.

He always went off with his disciples he seated himself with. He walked out right in front of us how we were to be.

He didn’t fight or argue with those that opposed his speaking, he always showed love and peace.

That is a really hard place to get to in today's world. With so much hate and fighting with anyone who doesn’t agree with us.

We see a world broken and crying out for a change.

We have to be that change everyone is so desperately yearning for. We have to be rooted in the word like a tree. In psalms 1 it says “He will be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, which gives its fruit at the right time, whose leaves will ever be green; and he will do well in all his undertakings.”

Who will be like a tree planted by the rivers?? “But whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and whose mind is on his law day and night.”

The one who will be planted by the river is the one who is focused on God and his decrees not our own. The one who meditates on the ways of God and all that it is written in the word of God.

Did you know that the word green in Hebrew means to flourish. The scripture also says that he will do well with all his undertakings.

I don’t know about you but I want to be successful and blessed in all my work. I want to be fruitful in all areas of my life. In my marriage, as a mother, a business owner but more importantly I want to be fruitful in saving the lost and changing the world around.

I want my fire to be like a wildfire consuming everything around me. I want the devil and his disciplines to run when I hit the scene because of my fire for the Lord.

I want all I lay my hands on to thrive, be fruitful, be whole and to please God.

You ask how can you do this?

It's simple to love God with all my heart, my mind and my spirit.

Then I have to truly love myself as God loves me.

So that I can truly love my neighbor as I love myself and love God.

We have to love people back to God! It’s not our place to judge them. In Psalms 1 it says ‘For this cause there will be no mercy for sinners when they are judged, and the evil-doers will have no place among the upright, Because the Lord sees the way of the upright, but the end of the sinner is destruction.”

It’s not our place to judge, it's our place to love.

I pray that anytime you interact with me that you feel the anointing of God.

This morning while spending time with the Lord the Holy Spirit whispered the word COURAGE to me. That is what has been missing the last few days in my walk.
