2021 Is Up To You On How It Will Go
So we have a new year before us, new dreams, hopes, goals, and fears. 2020 was a rough year by far. We had experienced the loss of loved ones, businesses, jobs, our daily routines altered drastically.
We found ourselves confined to our houses and our houses of worship closed on Sundays. The great thing about 2020 is that it’s over and showed many of us how resilient and tough we were.
We learned new things about ourselves that we wouldn’t have if we hadn’t been grounded to our homes and our businesses closed. What are you taking into 2021 from 2020?
I am taking a deeper walk with God in a way that I never have had before. I have excitement for this new year like I have never had before. More excited then when I married the man of my dreams or had any of my children.
I have a hope that is so overflowing in me that God is going to move as he has never moved before around me. You ask me how can you feel that and my response is simple we have to be the change around us.
When we read the scriptures we see example after example of ordinary people just like you and me that step out in faith with the Lord and then BAM! God moves in them and through them like they never experienced before.
They start to ignite the change around them how? Because they yield themselves to the Holy Spirit and are led by God. They are always listening for God’s voice on what to do in EVERYTHING that comes their way.
Psalm 51:10-13 says “Make a clean heart in me, O God; give me a right spirit again. Do not put me away from before you, or take your holy spirit from me. Give me back the joy of your salvation; let a free spirit be my support. Then will I make your ways clear to wrongdoers; and sinners will be turned to you.”
That set of scripture is my prayer coming into the new year! I want the spirit to move in me so freely that I am always yielding myself to Spirit. That the joy of my salvation I have inside of me that is overflowing like Niagara Falls.
I want the Holy Ghost glow to be so bright on me people need to wear sunglasses when I am around. We see all throughout scripture that is a real thing Moses had it so did Stephan.
How much time you invest in your relationship with God is going to directly affect your 2021. God wants to pour into you like never before. He wants to bless you so you can bless others. God wants to make you the head and not the tail. He wants to reposition his people in 2021.
In order for you to be successful, you have to know the word of God. When I was a kid growing up in church I didn’t understand the importance of that. After years of getting my butt kicked by the devil, I finally learned why that is important.
In order to be successful, you have to have an intimate relationship with him. You have to want to spend time with him daily. All throughout the scriptures, we see that those who have intimacy with God he uses in a mighty way.
We have to stop chasing worldly success and start chasing Godly success. I have done it both ways and my yoke his way is lite and without burden. We have to start to let our lamp shine everywhere we go daily. In Starbucks, our company or jobs, the kids’ activities, the grocery stores.
You have to be the change you want to see and you have to press into God like never before to have 2021 be a triumph year. All God is waiting for is for you to come to him and talk with him about your fears, hopes, dreams and for you to say YES God I will do what you are asking me to do in all places of my life.
This morning while spending time with the Lord the Holy Spirit whispered the word COURAGE to me. That is what has been missing the last few days in my walk.
