Peace what does that really mean and do you have a manifestation of peace in your life?
So when I think of peace a lot of things go through my mind. The peace sign and hippies. I think of Christmas and the Jewish star. I think of tranquility and calm.
The bible version of peace is much different. One scripture says “And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Another one says “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world, you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
The word peace is used over 361 times in scripture and has many meanings like “to be complete”. When you research the word complete it means to be whole or perfect.
Another meaning is “to be sound” now after looking up what that means we find the answer to be to make known.
So when we have the peace of God in our life that we will be made whole lacking nothing and be made perfect in God’s sight. Let that statement sink in for a minute.
Who wouldn’t want to be made perfect and lack nothing? We were not made to struggle. He has plans to prosper you not to harm you is what the word says.
I tell you what I was tired of the struggle, tired of the grind. Doing it my way stole my peace of mind, my joy, my happiness, and my well-being.
It was at the point of brokenness that God was able to really start to change things for me. I had nothing left to offer anyone including myself that made me run to God with a heart ready for change.
My spirit was so desperately needing “the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding,”
It was during my vulnerable time God guarded my heart from even myself and my mind was continually going to Jesus.
Slowing peace was pouring out into every nook and cranny of my life.
I look in the mirror and I don’t even recognize the women I have become. Now I see the manifestation of the peace of God in my life and in turn make that know to others.
I encourage you today if you need peace to run after God and he will give you peace.
